We just purchased the Garmin 760LMT. We had a Garmin before and really liked it so we stayed with Garmin. So far, we really like it! The big screen is amazing and we like the features. We have not really tested it in difficult environments yet. We use the Garmin but we always check the routes ahead of time and know where we should be going before we set out. we do not thing you should ever totally rely on any GPS. You need to plan your route and know where you are going in addition to using the GPS. That being said, we find them a very useful tool.
