Gas detector suggestion

When my mh was new it came with a Safe T Alert double gas monitor. After a few months, it started alarming for no apparent reason. (Sitting in a building, not occupied, gas valved out, etc). Pulled it out, got a replacement and it did the same thing. Pulled it out and bought one at Lowes and have used it with no problems. It plugs in and has battery backup. I now really want the original type back in the hole in the wall. I still read where the Safe T Alerts do have false alarms easily. Google it and there are a good many opinions posted. I was just wondering if anyone has a detector made by someone else that they are pleased with. I am not trying to trouble shoot here just want suggestions on other units...Thanks!
