Yeah, I could see how that would work. I think that it would be a much quicker connect/disconnect and a little cheaper than what I was looking at.
On the other hand... my version is looking to cost about $42 through Amazon (although that doesn't include a longer hose -- which I would need either way), so cost isn't too much of an issue. It will take longer to hook/unhook, but I think the flexibility of being able to use an external tank should I run the MH tank dry is an added bonus. (I know I will NEVER use that feature, but it seems nice to have just as an option if I needed it) Being able to easily hook the grill to a 20lb bottle without reconfiguring makes sense for my application.
I appreciate the input!! It's always good to look at different ways to achieve the same goal!
