  • In my 05 Pace 37c we would get 6-7 mpg driving at 65-68mph the faster we drove the worse it got especially if transmission was always down shifting.

Just for reference, it's a workhorse chassis
And a Chevy engine, most likey a 454 Cu inch

He said it's a 2005 W22 chassis which would be the 8.1 (496). May be time for new plugs and possibly wires.

You should be doing better, but then you didn't dwell on your driving habits, either.
Since we're seldom in a hurry, we go just fast enough to stay in top gear and with most, it's around 57mph. Does wonders for your mileage and helps if you don't jam your foot in it, when accelerating.
When doing the math, the only way to know your mileage for sure is with a computer on the rig that averages it over a period of years.
We've had our present coach for less than 15 months now and it's finally changed it's 10 average from 6.1 to 6.2 over it's two previous owners.
We tow as well, but don't know about the previous owners.
  • Our '04 w22 gets 6.5 or 7 at 70 but if I drive 60 or 65 it can get 8 if I stay out of the mountains.
  • We have was 08 Dolphin, W22, 36 1/2 feet long pulling a Smart car & usually at about 62 mph as well. We average slightly under 8.0 mpg over entire trips. I don't normally see 5.5 mpg even when going into some head winds.
  • How fast do you drive. I have a 99 V10 37 foot and usually get 8/9 at 62. I have gotten 5 or less if I drove in the wind which is not very often.
  • My last coach was a 2009 Pace 36D and on a good day I got 5.5 mpg and never seen more than 6.5. I had a F-53 V-10 but there isn't much difference. Pace Arrow's are heavy coaches so good mileage isn't an attribute.
