- haste_makerExplorer III get 7 to 8 pulling a 2003 Honda Element that weights 3500 @ 60 mph or less.
- Johno02ExplorerDon't plan on anything over 8 mpg. If you do get better, write down when, what kind of gas, weather and speed just so you can remember it. Those memories are rare.
- K_CharlesExplorerWe take our pickup and camper from CT to the gulf shore a couple times a year and usually stay about a month. Some trips we make it all the way and back with one tank.
Our camper is an A and it gets about 8 MPG. - gboppExplorer

With a bulldozer in the trailer and traveling 80+ MPH, uphill. - ppineExplorer IIAnd diesel fuel mileage is higher.
- DrewEExplorer IIFor the best mileage, slow down. Air resistance increases exponentially with speed (approximately with the cube of speed, if memory serves), and at highway speeds for an RV that is generally where the most energy is expended. Rolling friction is comparatively small.
7 to 8 mpg is about what I'd expect in most cases. - lryrob9301ExplorerIn my experience the best gas mileage was attained when going down hill with a tail wind. I often reached in excess of 40 mpg. All other times about 8 mpg was normal.

- RetiredRealtorRExplorerThis should be interesting....
- midnightsadieExplorer IIthey all get about 8mpg , if you own a rv your going to pay the bill.
