I have pretty much the same set up. For us its Flying J with dedicated RV lanes. Fuel islands perpendicular to the store sometimes are the worst. Finding a fuel station with islands parallel to the store and building are usually friendly.
As an alternative I often google map with an aerial view and plan my stops ahead of time so I can capture a preferred outside fuel island with adequate distance for turns between the end of the island and the store front. I also look at sites and turning radius available for the rig.
A big concern for me are the dolphin posts at the end of the fuel islands. I do believe they have RV magnets in them.
