Gauges went crazy after dead battery - HELP!

It was your comment that got me thinking about the possibility of a bad CAT 5e cable and/or coupler (that is what is used by ScanGauge II).

Sure enough, it was a smashed cable that I ran along inside the driver's side A-Pillar cover. Apparently, it was smashed when I clipped and bolted on the plastic A-Pillar cover during re-installation. I used some masking tape to keep it out of harms way this time.

Now, I'm just about set for my one week trip to Colorado River for some camping and Striper fishing!

Testing all of my new goodies on this trip.....

1. TPMS by Tire-Tracker
2. Accurite Digital Fridge/Freezer Thermom w/ wireless temp sensors
3. Rear bedroom wall-mounted 24" LED TV w/DVD player
4. Rear View Safety -color rear view camera (hard wired)

Now you have a second ScanGauge II. Get the short jumper cable that joins 2 Gauges together. It will allow 8 different displays of data.

No, I used previous cable. It worked fine with previous Scan Gauge. I used a cable, extension and coupler to connect extension.

Perhaps I should test it by using the new cable directly from gauge to OBD port and avoid extension and coupler....process of elimination

So, since I installed a NEW ScanGauge II and the identical problem persists,

may it be that my OBD II is not recognizing the ScanGauge II and/or recognizing it incorrectly?

Does the OBD II need to be reset? How is this done?

I'm at a loss of what to do next at least until Monday when I call the Scangauge company.

My MH is always plugged into shore when stored. I have a Trik L Start on chassis batteries.
All I need to do is press red button on ScanGauge II. It always has power. If I was storing without shore power. I would remove cable from ScanGauge II.

Nope and never had a problem,but mine is a Chevy.
