Gauges went crazy after dead battery - HELP!
Had my 2005 Motorhome E-450 V10 parked for about 2 months. Went to start it today and battery was dead. Battery is dated 6/14. Charged battery with 6amp charger for 4 hours. Started with no problem...

This. Your 24 amp hours represents 10 percent or less of the battery's total capacity.
Letting the alternator do this might be OK but I wouldn't do it.
