Having started this post and after reading all the follow ups, I'd recommend having Fleetwood do the recall (should be free) and then adding a vented baggage door to the generator.

Thanks. Since having made that post, I contacted Fleetwood and they said they would provide me with free technical assistance and that's about it. I'm going to try to put that vented door in myself and see if that does the trick.
