Made one very similar to the Genturi design. Used metal conduit for the 90 degree sweep connected direct to the exhaust, then hand built an air gap/transition to go from 1 1/4" steel conduit to 3" schedule 80 PVC conduit. We cut a 10' section of 3" in 1/2 and use the preformed bell-end to couple them back together when we use it. This makes for easier storage. Reinforced the exhaust pipe to handle more weight, and use one suction cup to help hold the entire chimney to the sidewall of the coach/slide.
The schedule 80 gets warm, but never softens, even after 8 hours running - i've got a gas Onan 4k, so the exhaust temp may be lower than the diesel units. The air gap is setup to draw cool air from the bottom to help the chimney affect, just like the genturi's. Works good.
