Saving money is great we all agree. But has anyone tested their home made genturi? Are all gases being taken upward? Is there any back pressure?
What is the back pressure? what is acceptable?
Is being hot enough to the touch to burn someone OK? What is the temperature of the aluminum downspout? What is acceptable?
I'm not saying the home made units aren't OK but.......
When I was in engineering school a wise professor once said any design that could potentially injure or cause a fatality to humans must be tested at a higher standard.
Saving isn't everything. If a kid is burned on a hot piece of aluminum downspout. Do you think the fact that someone saved a few dollars is going to matter to the parents or worse some attorney? Stranger things have happened?
