- 1320FastbackExplorerI still have a early 80s Onan BFA for farm use and it still runs as many hours as i need it. Fires right up, settles into a purr and doesn't complain wether its 15 min or 5 hours.
- Sandia_ManExplorer IIAlthough we have a gas Onan, I don't give it a second thought to how long it has been running. These generators are built to withstand anything you throw at them and ours has been bulletproof over the last decade under very demanding situations. Now if it was a portable generator I might give it some thought to how hard and how long we were running it, although our Champion 3100 inverter generator has proven to be a real workhorse meeting all our power demands over the last couple of seasons.
