Generator

Has anyone ever worked on a 2002 Damon Intruder generator? It is not on a slide out how is the best way to work on it?

    Most likely an Onan 5500 on that motor home (Same as mine)

    Answer depends on what needs doign, Fuel pump is under the unit and easily accessed lying on your back under the RV, Oil change is done in place.

    Major work you remove the Genny from the RV and bench it.. I suggest a transmission jack to lift/lower it.
  • sidekick51, you might get more response if you would list what generator you have and what you are wanting to do to it.

    Mine is a propane Onan 6500 and I've worked on it while it's installed and still hooked up. I had a problem when I first bought the m/h though and it had to be removed. I have a pusher so I take it out the front. There were four bolts on bottom, disconnect propane line, disconnect wires, disconnect exhaust remove the grill from the front of my m/h and slide it out the front. It is heavy so you will need help or a lift. Many problems can be repaired without removing it.
