The previous owner paid to have the carb cleaned on my Onan.
It still started hard and ran bad.
The Onan dealer recommended a new carb.....for about the same price as a cleaning. Been working fine ever since.
And yes I put the recommended amount of Stabil in my 50 gallon tank before filling it up for it's winter rest. The drive back to the parking place with the gen running mixes it up just fine.
And the following spring, after enough miles to use up most of the storage tank, I treat the next tank with Techron or Berrymans B12 and then don't worry about the fuel for the next 9 months or so.
