I tried to get my Detroit warm by idling once.
60F outdoor, 1 hr of idle at it come to about 150F.
Anyway, Sam is one of those who has lot of time in his hands, so nothing wrong if every 30 days he spends few hr in storage running generator and checking other things.
Tell a farmer about running seasonal equipment every month and they will send you to psycho ward.
