We are lucky that we get to use the motorhome monthly. We did the same thing with our '08 Dynasty. Never needed to winterize as I keep it in a warm place.
I never tried to warm up the diesel engine by idling, really hard to do. The best way is to take it on a 20-30 mile run which also heats up the tires keeping those 'ever-so-important' emollients circulated through-out the tires.
I also never turned off the residential fridge unless it was in for service. I would also empty the ice-maker.
Everybody has their threshold of comfort.
