Yes there is a trick and it gets brought up often here. I never try to use my phone I only post from my computer.

Get the pictures on your computer.
Click on this link and then drag and drop your photo there. Link
Copy the link that pops up in the little box below where you dropped the picture.
Connect to the forum and start a reply on this thread.
Paste the link directly into the body of your reply, do not try to use the icons at the top of the window.
Click the preview button, (third icon from the left looks like a magnifying glass on a sheet of paper), to verify the photo attached.
