The answer of course is different strokes for different folks.
The fire hazard is not as great as many think it is.. and can be greatly reduced by a short chat with Mac-The-Fire-Guy and a few dollars and a few minutes work.
Very true. What works for me and is important to me might not be important to others. I'll check with the techs in the shop tomorrow and try and get a feel for the labour costs and install challenges. I'm thinking with a little Internet coordination you could get the fridge for free or close to it from somebody going the other way.
