GFI in bathroom tripped and wouldn't reset, purchased new one ,after unhooking old one I lost track of which set of wires were line in and which set were power out to the outlets.. How do I determine...

two things. will it not reset period or does it pop as soon as u reset it. If first one replace. simply (carefully) meter the line with the breaker on to determine power in flow.
If its the second one U may have a short upstream
Also GFCI will NOT reset if no AC power is available
