Pull the lever and hold the same gear for the entire decent and there is no issue.
If the RPM gets high then use the brakes to bring it down and let it coast back up.
CORRECT.
And, if you are continually speeding up, firmly apply the brakes long enough to slow down enough to downshift to a lower gear that will better hold your speed in equilibrium.
