Thanks to all for the comments. I apologize if anyone misunderstood the intent of this post. We are both disabled so I do understand the "need" for some. We walk because the doctors have told us it's best for our health.
The campground we are in is only 100 spaces so it's not that big, and the carts really don't bother me. It's just a phenomenon I have witnessed and wondered what I was missing. The ones here could not be used on any golf course I've been on, one looks like a diesel truck, another is lifted with oversized tires, another painted in LSU colors and they are not going to the store, using the facilities etc. They simply get in them and cruise around the campground. Pretty cool actually, but too many of them make it hard to walk as they seem to forget their manners/respect when driving them. It can be somewhat unnerving when you're walking and one sneaks up behind you going the wrong way or cutting across the lawn area next to your rig. Like walking through someone's site, don't take your cart across one either. Common sense seems to fly out the window at times.......Dennis
