Dennis, we do not have a golf cart But I do understand why folks have them... The only place we have been where the carts can be overwhelming is Fort Wilderness.
From my observation there are folks who really do need them to conveniently navigate around such a large park... In other instances they are used to cruise. The cruising takes on two forms... exploring the park, and as entertainment for teens. At times during the week ends the volume can get overwhelming for those walking, running, or even bike riding the loops. In the past Disney has not been real good at enforcing their own rules relative you golf cart operation
The carts range from small electric to fairly large tripped out 4 wheel gas powered (which are often loud)... The six seaters seem to be growing in number.
We do see them at other parks but they are usually a none issue...We are also seeing more parks offer carts for rent...
Owning or using a golf cart is an individual's choice for what ever reason they choose.
