YES....your trick works
I routinely swap grey to black when dumping
BUT----I have all hard piped drain lines with valving to allow me to do it before that slinky sewer hose is involved.
Fact is I can shuttle grey to black, galley to black, galley to grey, galley/grey/black.
It's ALL waste water.
RVs use to only have ONE tank.
You trick is functional
BUT---------one day the slinky sewer hose will break/tear/come loose and the you will have a mess.
Course with your RVs drain system the slinky sewer hose is weak leak....as it is with any RV drain system that uses one.
Except you will have the hose in your hands above you head when it tears loose at connection in wet bay.......:B
