Goodyear G670RV Price

I jut check on Goodyear G670 RV 245/70R 19.5 Load range G. I was given a price of 558.33 each included balance mounting & tax. is this a good price or should I keep looking? Would like to change them before I leave this fall for my winter trip? I am in CT would I do better for price in TX? The tires are now 9 years old. Thy still look perfect. Gary
  • Miles are irrelevant on motorhome tires. Age is the issue. 9-10 years is WAY too long for me.

The quoted price for Goodyear RV670's is in the ballpark. Many folks here are unaware of how much tire prices have risen in the last few years.
  • I just replaced my 6 G670 with Hankook AH11. The G670 were going to cost me almost $500 each plus mounting, etc.
I researched others for the same ratings and the Hankook AH11 was impressive. I paid $313 each plus mounting, spin balance, and tax.
The old tires were 10 years old with 21,000 miles and looked like new with no cracks, bulges, or anything else to signal a need to replace them. BUT, as I was washing the rig prior to a trip I noticed a piece of rubber flaking off the tread. Closer inspection revealed a lot of dry, crumbling rubber sloughing off the front tire treads. I checked with a local heavy truck tire center and they confirmed these types of tires should be replaced at about 7,000-8,000 mile. They deal in almost all lines of tires and they suggested the Hankook over the Goodyears for nearly $200 per tire less. I checked with another tire dealer and got basically the same suggestion.
So far I am very pleased.
  • Last year I had to replace all 6 of my tires. Priced the Goodyear and found them to be very expensive also. Goodyear must be quite proud of them. Priced Michelin through the FMCA program and saved $1500 over the price of the Goodyears. Check the FMCA web site for the Michelin advantage program. They provide several "sample" prices for various sizes of Michelin tires. Most all Michelin commercial dealers will work with the program.
  • Hi. Sounds pretty expensive to me. We've had G670s on our last two Class'A' MoHO. I never liked em. Always had a 'Rumble' feel as if out of balance and a high pitched whine above 60 mph. A year ago I had two of em go bad( not at the same time)with only about 12000 miles on em. One showed a 'Worm' under the rubber on the sidewall & the other blew a big hole out of the sidewall. I replaced all of em with Goodyear G647 RSS at $425 each mounted/Balanced and they were load range G. These are considered Truck tires, but I like the ride & Stronger sidewall and they don't have that annoying high Pitch noise whine.
