- SailordiveExplorerI use this to attach the phone. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FHX9OK/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i04?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I attached it to the window as so e complained it was too strong and damaged the dash.
As far as sound either the phones speaker or Bluetooth through the radio. - naturistNomadThere are a bazillion attach-your-smartphone-to-your-dash accessories available. Go to any mall and check out one of the kiosks where they sell smartphone cases, etc. Or try a Radio Shack store.
Bluetooth has nothing to do with GPS. Bluetooth is a system for transmitting data between two devices, such as music to the in-dash entertainment system, or your mouse and your laptop, or sound between your hands-free ear-dongle and your phone. Bluetooth might be useful for transmitting your location between your phone and a larger display built into the car, but all the cars I am familiar with that HAVE such a display already have their own GPS built in, and don't need the smartphone. - ChooChooMan74ExplorerI use products from Ram Mount www.rammount.com
- sch911ExplorerI think the OP is looking to use the Smartphone as a GPS for another device like a Laptop through Bluetooth. No that is not possible.
- Gonzo42ExplorerYou didn't say which phone, but I have the original Droid and this cradle attaches to the window or dash. It has a magnet that automatically put it into GPS Navigation mode, but it is easy to exit from that. I find it very useful, as it can be charged while driving, although that app takes a lot of power.
Droid Cradle - Tanya6520Explorerthanks...we have a built in GPS, but it sits in the middle of the dash. Same with the backup camera. Pretty difficult to watch the road and monitor the screen. I like everything straight in front of me on the dash.
- jjraiExplorerI put a piece of Velco on the dash and another on the back of the phone. One inch square. It works great and is very secure.
