I have a Dezl 560 that works great on top of dash. It is a 5" Garmin. A 7" Garmin would be large on the dash. Beyond that either model will work well. Dezl models have RV routing like the RV model has.
One of the best features of the Garmin and some other GPS's is that custom POI (points of interest) can be added to it's memory. I use POI Factory to download campgrounds, department stores, fuel stations and many other POI that are updated more often than they are in map updates.
