Which GPS Unit?

I own six different Garmin's, tried others, but went back to the Garmin. Love em.

Just got my Garmin RV760LMT. So far I love it. Does exactly what I needed it for. Used to have the built in GPS in my F250 Lariat but the trim package on my new F350 does not have it. I have missed my back up camera the most and I bought the Garmin with the backup camera included. Will get it installed this weekend but I did temporarily get power to it and it connected to the GPS right way. I'm pleased with all the extras it has.

Got my back up camera installed into my back up lights. I've also installed a wire and plug to one of the upfitter switches so I can plug it into that if I want to put the camera on the back of the trailer to monitor during trips. Just a simple matter of unplugging from back up lamps and plugging into upfitter system.

Garmin also offers POI on route, for example, if you were interested in a Starbucks, the Garmin will find one for you along your route, this is the best feature and as far as I know, the only one to offer it.

I am on my 2nd Rand McNally and have liked both. The first was the 7710 and the one I have now is the 7735 sold by CW. You can find it on sale at times for less than $300 with lifetime maps.

Just be aware that Canada is not included on all models. Many are "Lower 48 only".

Thanks to all who've responded. I just ordered the Garmin model 55LM. Got it online for $89.95, incl free shipping. I'm sure I'll get good use from it. I've put off buying a GPS unit since I did without one for a long time. I'm sure I'll be happy with it. :)

If you know the difference between a Pilot gas station and a Mobil, consider the Garmin Nuvi 3597 lmthd. It's about $320 at BestBuy, has a 5 inch pinch-to-zoom screen, 9 mm thin as a cellphone with all the bells and whistles like voice-activated navigation, bluetooth, traffic and weather, etc. Best of all is its magnetic mount, just pull it down and take it away - no annoying cords to mess with when removing just the unit. We also have a 1450 and another older Nuvi, and this is worth the extra cost in our estimation.

Me too... It is a little pricey but sure like the Truck Stops, Lower Overpass and RV parks database...

Some Garmin products are Bluetooth compatible. Some need to have data link to update via smart phone.
We use computer link to update.

Interesting. I looked at the Garmin units on line and thought the info stated that a smart phone was needed. I guess I misread something.
