I have used a Garmin GPS for the past 11 years and have been very pleased. These have been the auto GPS and now I am considering switching to the Garmin RV 770 LMT-S RV GPS. I am interested in finding out how many are using this model and how it has performed for you. Thank you.

Search the forum - many posts. We have the previous RV760LMT and it has served us very well. As with any GPS, trust but verify... check the route the GPS chooses before starting out. You can save yourself some miles and headaches.Rob

I bought a 7" and returned it because of the glare factor, I even bought a hood for it to cut down on the glare and that didn't help.

Once it routed us around Hwy 60 about 30 miles out of our way, since I knew the road I drove 60 anyway. Once were in Auburn IN 13 mile from Chain-o-lakes State Park and It took us over 60 miles by way of Fort Wayne. I was not familiar with a roads maybe there was a 3 ton bridge or something, but that was a longer trip than planned.It gives warnings that my other Garmens do not, it will beep and tell you about a speed limit change ahead or a sharp curve, or steep downgrade. On some roads it will have a yellow banner saying "This road has not been evaluated for RV travel" Other than the long routes, I have been happy with it.

The 770 is the third Garmin I've owned and by far the best, after two years of use. I use it with my 13'6" 5er set on truck mode and find that I can trust it to not send me into trouble. Set it back to car for that kind of use. Love the screen size and my DW seems to find it much easier to use then the previous. She especially loves the features like finding nearest Dunkin or Penera. I like the "alerts" for most everything.
