You can also get a pump, from a 12v (Shurflo) to one that goes on a cordless drill, to produce the pressure you need.
I used a marine bilge pump set in a bucket to pump water myself. I certainly wouldn't go hacking into the wall or tank on my RV.
If you have the winterize feature on your RV don't even both with a pump. Use the Antifreeze inlet on your RV to draw in the water to your RV just like you would do with antifreeze. On my Winnie I need to open up the fill valve (for the city water connection) in order for the water from the jug to be returned to the tank. I use those 5 gallon collapsible jugs with the onlet valve on them. The inlet tube fits right over the outlet of the jug and when done the jug collapses.
msmith, I know this does not address the issue with fill time and if you have 100 gallons of water 5 gallon jugs won't get you very far if you use a lot of water. However, look into your overflow tube and maybe you can hook up the hose there to fill the tank. Somehow split it off with a tee connection so you still have the overflow option. Not sure if you will have enough room to make it work as the overflow part would need to be much higher than the tank.
