Since you're from South Carolina, I just checked and it's illegal to dump gray water.
One of our 'duties' while volunteering for a national park was to go to each roadside faucet in the campground because water wasn't draining - just leaving puddles. We had to dig the soil/rocks down a foot to remove hair, toothpaste, garbage and grease and replace the soil with new. This is from folks washing their hair, brushing teeth and doing dishes at the spigots - even when there's a sign at the spigots stating not to do so. It was a disgusting job!! So think twice before dumping gray water. It does make a difference.
