Grays Harbor Speedway, Elma, WA.

Has anyone ever camped out here? I heard that they have RV Spaces there? I'm going there tonight to watch The World of Outlaws Sprint Car racing! I don't care about the noise but, I do care about dust! I don't want to park my coach in a dusty area! Any info would be appreciated! Thanks, Rooster
  • Elma RV would be a good general idea, the closest "KOA" is many miles away.
There is also a RPI/CC/ROD/etc park close (Travel Inn). This is actually walking distance to the Elma Fairgrounds (I've walked it many times)

Personally if we know there is a race, we don't stay at the Travel Inn, the race(noise) usually runs to 11PM to midnight.
  • check the wind! If you're racing on dirt there's going to be dust. Love dirt track racing.
  • you can also use Elma RV down to highway 12 and under the freeway about a 1/4mile.
It's only about a mile from the track

  • Long time ago. It was across the road from the track, dirt track, was dusty, if it rained, mud up to your ankles. It was party city, could not get any sleep. Would stay at the KOA down the road a ways. After the first year, we stayed in a motel with the race car, just to have some peace and quite.
