Greyhound Sceniccruiser
Does anyone on this site run a 1950's or 60's Greyhound scenic cruiser as a motor home? I'd like to know your experiences with it how you acquired it and what it costs you to run. Thanks

My dad bought a 1962 eagle 3 axle bus in 1988 with Detroit 6-71 and 4 spd manual trans. 3 yrs of conversion and sweat and blood and he had a MH. He probably spent $50k in parts after $22k purchase price. It weighed about 38k lbs with the Detroit 8-92 and Allison 5spd auto. He drove it everywhere in MX and Canada and USA. It was parked in my back yard from 2011 to 2014 when he passed. I put 2 new 8D Batts in it and it started right up. A guy came by from a Craigslist ad and drove it away for $5k. Had 3 roof a/c, washer dryer, 12kw Kubota dsl gen with 100 hrs. My wife was overjoyed when it drove away!!! BTW my dad claimed to get 11 to 12 mpg.
