As others have pointed out, there are many things that could have caused this blowout, most common cause being low air. That can be due to any number of causes including bad valve stems,punctures, road hazard, etc.
Since it's the only blowout you've had on the rig, it may be premature to jump to conclusions that the tires are "wrong", or that you should dump the C altogether.
I second the motion that you go to Les Schwab for advice/an evaluation of the tires. In our many years of dealing with them they've never done us dirt, many times advising us AGAINST replacement if in their opinion the tires in question were appropriate and still serviceable.
