DW and I are both happy campers. We bought a used (2002 Itasca 32V Sunrise) that had only 9000 miles on it two years ago. The sales team were typical sales people, they told us what we wanted to hear. I had done some homework, but you don't know what you don't know, so we ended up with a rig that needed new tires (what's a date code on a tire?) and had some minor cosmetic and repair needs. We found this forum, and all the experts on here that walked us through the repairs we found that truly needed to be done. We've replaced the two awnings on the slide outs, repaired numerous missing screws and loose handles, we've tweaked the interior with a tile backsplash in the kitchen and wallpaper to match DW's needs. I wrestled with the infamous winnebago windshield leak (fixed it by taking off the rubber strips that surround the windshield, sanding and refinishing the rusted areas with rustoleum spray paint, and recaulked with windshield sealant). All the while we take it out every chance we get. So I'm happy because we get to go camping in style and comfort, DW get to nest whenever she wants, and we have found that with the help of folks on this forum, we can fix just about whatever comes along. We've put almost 15,000 miles on "the camper" since we got her, and we have no plans to slow down yet.
