I am a happy camper and have been traveling by motorhome since 1985, and still love this mode of travel....Although, I have to say, the first 5 motorhomes that I had were middle of the road in quality, and the years were mid 80's and early 90's.
When something malfunctioned, it was pretty easy to fix, because circuit boards were not very common. Also there were not many relays, fuses, and circuit breakers, so 12v items were easy to diagnose.
The motorhome that I had prior to my signature, was a 1995 American Dream. I had it for almost 12 years and just sold it last year. It was almost 20 years old when I sold it, and everything on the coach worked as good as the day I bought it. I never really had to do anything to it, except annual service. Even with quite a few electronic items on it, nothing malfunctioned.
My current coach has lots of electronics, circuit boards, relays, circuit breakers, solenoids, etc. Consequently, I have had a couple things that malfunctioned, and they are hard for me to figure out without the proper test equipment, wiring diagrams, and know how.
I think that Tiffin makes a good product, and considering all the electronics in 2000+ year coaches, I haven't had much go wrong, but I got spoiled with the American Dream never having anything go wrong.
I love the floorplan of this triple slide layout, and it drives great and the 400hp gives me lots of power, but I'm hoping that problems will not occur too often. Either way, I'm still a happy camper.
