I've had two Class B rigs, a couple of popup campers, then bought a 36' Class A. Sold it a year later while buying another house. Then downsized to a 25' travel trailer for 7 years. Currently selling it to our niece since we just bought a 35' Class A.
The smaller rigs are nice to drive and park... but most everything else is a compromise due to the limited space.
As we get older, we really enjoy the extra room and luxuries that a Class A offers. No, it doesn't get good gas mileage, but I'm driving a house, and towing a Jeep. The Jeep goes everywhere a Sprinter van can't.
I would suggest renting one for a week if possible before you make the transition. Then you can see if that works for you.
