We did a month long trip in ours this spring. We unloaded anything ahead of time we thought we weren't going to use before loading for the trip. We wanted to minimize stops (food, beverages, laundry, etc) so we we were traveling pretty heavy. I would guess we were at max gross weight.
Another poster has mentioned to unload everything and decide what you no longer need to take. It is good advice. I do a variation on it bin by bin during the spring/fall changeovers.
