Why not I-70 - would allow you to see more than the other Routes.

I took the liberty of sliding off to Moab and Driving RT 126 along the Colorado River and sliding off on RT 6 into Golden, two drives I always make.

IMHO this is just a drive with so many options - First Lake Tahoe/Reno - then Utah and many State and National Parks as you drive I-70 - Goblins and Capitol Reef are right off the road - Moab and Rt 128 - Colorado National Monument - Maroon Bells/Aspen - Minturn/Red Cliff/Leadville/Buena Vista (RT 24 - 91) - Then RT 6 into Golden .

As many times as we've driven through these areas every return visit is Special, always discovering new and Memorable things along the way.

Sorry but I've made the mistake of driving I-80 - too many trucks and the concrete joints will rattle even my Old Hard Head.

If you are already set on going back on 80 why not add a little adventure to the drive out.

In my RV book - the "drive is usually better than the destination".
