We were just there in October. We stayed just outside of Asheville and toured The Biltmore for two days. What a fabulous home/mansion. You won't believe the engineering in that place. Tour the old hot-houses and gardens. Take the walk down to the "boat house". Take the time to eat at the old stable and enjoy yourself !! We stayed at Mama Gerties which was a fabulous place way up on the side of a mountain. Take a car if possible!
