We have never had a W/D in our motorhomes, and I truly do not want one. We have had very good luck with park laundry rooms, and finding laundromats. And as mc.cc stated, that really limits your possibilities. I think what would be a good idea for you is to make a list of must-haves, and would-likes. As stated before, there is not one out there that has everything you want, unless there is a limitless cash flow. Since I have camped my entire life, beginning with tents, then campers, and finally a motorhome, I have experience as to what is expected, and what our limitations are. Our kids have been camping since 6 weeks of age, so they are accustomed to the trials and tribulations of travel. Don't get discouraged, just don't spend a lot of energy pulling your hair out, either. My best advice is to not get a rig so big neither of you are comfortable driving it. Also, there are size limits to many state parks, and even some rv parks. Here in Oregon, a lot of our state parks have smaller pads. We have seen 40 footers crammed into spots at Fort Steven's, for example, but it was terribly tight, and not worth the trouble to me.
Whatever you decide, have fun with it, and don't sweat the small stuff.
