Stupid question. Is the ATS in the breaker box? Do I have to pull that to get to it.
This is one of those times that knowing what converter you have would be advantageous. While my RV is 20 years older than yours, my ATS is in the 120vac and 12vdc distribution panel. My ATS is not energized when on shore power, it has a time delay relay that energizes the ATS which has open before close contacts when switching to generator power.
I have a PD panel and converter. I looked up all the written information I have and it seems that most manufacturers no longer put the ATS in the the converter assembly.
You should be able to Google the name of the company that made your panel and ATS and look it up, that should give you a graphic of the distribution panel, converter and ATS. In many rigs the ATS is near the converter or in the mechanical cabinet where the shore power cable junction box is located. Actually now it seems that the junction box for the shore line is actually the ATS box and the generator power and shore power lines terminate there and a third line goes to the distribution panel.
Addition info will help.
