I'll try those suggestions. I remember changing the oil in the generator but I used 5 or 10 30 instead of straight 30. I wanted to use mobil one and I couldn't find straight 30 at the time. The generator is an Onan 6000w quiet something... I need to check the level on it because you're right, the rougher the road the more likely it is to slosh etc.
I may run down to camping world and see if they have one of the voltage meters. It's pretty easy for even a "helper" to look at a basic meter for my while I'm driving.
When I get a chance today I may do the breaker panel tightening. It's curious that the breaker has tripped 2 times in the past 2 weeks, even tied in to shore power. Usually something is power starved when a breaker trips (in my experience) so maybe there is a loose connection somewhere.
I would think 2 ac's are not more than this 6000w generator can handle?
I'm off to check this junk out and I'll report back.
My other objective is to make sure I do the power up and power down procedure exactly right and notate the steps to see if I botch something. Could be operator error too....
