help with dust cover on 03 ford 350 (swd) not 4X4

Never seen a dust cap like this. It is recessed in to far to get screw driver in it and work loose. "Googling" it up some people have results with putting a hose clamp around it and turning with pli...

Parked at my favorite ford dealer and asked mechanic. He said "just get them off anyway you can and buy new ones. No matter how careful you try to get them off they never seem to fit right after getting them off. "Bearing caps" are about as strong as tin foil better to just get new".

My channel locks wouldn't go in deep enough. A little 6 or 8 inch crow bar did the trick.
