Help with the length of a motorhome

Hello and welcome to the wonderful RV world! We had a 2004 32' Itasca Sunrise, then last year upgraded to a 2014 35' Suncruiser. This length is wonderful for us and we don't think we will go any longer. We have a king sized walk around bed and washer and dryer. Besides the 3' added length, the opposing slideouts in the living area really open things up. We do spend a lot of time outside while on the road, reading, listening to music and usually watching the evening news outside. Not to throw a wet blanket, or douse your enthusiasm, but just wondering if you and your wife have ever spent any time on the road? It's a hunk of change (I will not use the word investment! ha!) to put out there to learn that you don't really like it. I will say that to spend several weeks at a time in a small space, it definitely helps if you get along well and enjoy each others company.
