We bought our coach new off of a lot from a dealer that tries to load them up with things most people like. Ours came with a fireplace, dishwasher and washer and dryer. We joked with friends and family about all these goodies, but at our age (60) and the way we travel, these items are great.
The dishwasher takes up drawer space, but in a large coach, it's not a huge issue. We find that we can fill it for about three days and then turn it on in the evening. You can't hear it run.
The washer and dryer was a must for longer trips and I hate dealing with laundromats. Some are okay with it, but not our preference. Often, my wife does the laundry the night before we head home and we just unload clean clothes.
Our grandkids got a kick out of the fireplace. It was nice and built into a spot where the TV is housed behind it on a televator. We didn't know how much we would use it, but now love it. Here's why. We always used a small electric heater in the front of the coach for cold mornings and cool evenings. I like everything put away when we travel, so when we needed the floor heater we would have to pull it out, set it up and then walk around it all the time. Often on a cold morning, it wasn't worth the effort to pull it out for the few minutes we would like it on. With the fireplace, we hit the remote and have instant heat.
Again, many of these features may not be important to some, but apparently are important to many as they are showing up more frequently in new coaches. Only you can decide what you want, but asking questions here will let you know why others find them important and will make sense to you or at least help you decide if they're important must haves.
