Length is one issue but the layout to me is the most important. When I moved up to a 40'er, i knew i wanted two front slides with couch and love seat opposite each other. I needed 6'-2" bunks for my 6' son so that narrowed down the search to a few. My next coach would have the large bath in the rear of coach, tag axle And no need for bunks once kids off to college. Renting one or two for a weekend to truly get a feel for how your going to use it would be my recommendation.
