We are making our first trip. Worried about tunnels and accommodations for
43 foot length and tall height
13 ft is not that high you certainly will not have a problem on the interstate highways
For extra protection on weight and height I have a Garmin RV GPS
I would be more concerned about weight than height - dpfreemanExplorerThanks for all the good advice
- RedJeepExplorerBiggest threat, my opinion, are low hanging branches once you exit the highway or interstate.

Dutchmen sport, We were just in CA traveling by car and came across several tunnels. That made us worry about a trip to Yellowstone, the Tetons, and down US 1 in CA.
Sections of US 1 big rigs including RV's beyond a certain length are not allowed. I have traveled the western states for the past 13 years, no issues. Just stay on interstates and primary roads. Purchase Mountain Directory East and West. It will show routes and warnings. - tropical36Explorer

We've traveled all of those and never a problem. The NE US is the worst for low clearance and even at that, we've cleared some that we weren't supposed to and that's good that they give one a little leeway. Naturally, you don't just go full tilt and one or both of us are always outside watching. I've even climbed up the bank for a looksee. Never mind the horn blowing from the idiots. - dpfreemanExplorerS Daniel. Which CoPilot do you use?

- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerWhere are you headed? We stay on interstates, US highways and state highways and don't have a problem. We use CoPilot app on our Iphone. You can input your height for routing.
- yrusosloExplorerDon't trust all height signs
- DutchmenSportExplorerNothing to worry about. Any road that 18 wheeler semi trucks can travel, you should be able to travel also. When getting off the main roads, always be extra observant of street signs with overpass clearances. But mostly, unless you are really going down a back road or something, you'll be just fine! Just be alert and watch the big trucks. Remember, they make deliveries in towns too! They have to get there somehow? Right?
Good luck on your trip. Hope its a really good one!
