I use the orange lynx blocks for simple front end adjustments. also, DH made me a set of 2 x 8's joined so they span the dualies along with a strap on the end for easy pick-up and load. of course, I use them in front when working with front end adjustments, too, and they are much less prone to move or slip on me. I like to be just a touch high on the slide side so when they are out, I actually finish leveling. half-bubble works for me. walking from back to front, I don't want to feel like i'm running downhill, etc., and am usually pretty careful about leveling while DH sits behind the wheel and awaits the word on setting the brake. ;)
