I have just located a Itasca Merridan 36m diesel. Its used 2012 with 3005mi. My coach and $151800. should I pull the trigger or not??
First thing I would want to know is being it's a 2012 with only 3005 miles why it was traded in. Of course the dealer is not going to tell you even if they know. Chances are you will not be able to talk to the original owners. The dealer that has it, are they a Winnebago dealer, if not, be very careful. Did the dealer take it on a trade or did they get it at auction? Reason I say all this as a good friend bought nearly the same thing at a non Winnebago dealer. The coach he bought has been nothing but problems. About6 months after buying he was in a dealership getting repairs and was told records showed at 2000 miles it had a new engine and transmission put in it. Be careful, ask questions and don't believe every thing the dealer tells you. And don't get in a hurry to purchase. - dons2346Explorer$151800 is way to high for an Itasca. With your coach, that makes the total cost at $188800. Way to much, I don't see any deal here.
- blknomadExplorerActually they said $37k for the winney.
- P3TCExplorerLooks like they are giving you $30k for your coach.
OK? - PapPappyExplorerI did a quick search on NADA, but since I have no idea what the options are, I just clicked past it, so the one you are looking at may be worth more.:)
Not knowing what you have now, makes it difficult to give you an honest answer....if you've got a $25K "C" and are upgrading, this would be a pretty good deal:).....if you've got a $100K coach, not so much:(
(edit, I see you mentioned your Winnie, but not the year>)
HERE is what I got from NADA.
You may want to go there, and compare the prices with what you have, and what options you are getting....at least then, you could make a pretty fair judgement.
Good Luck:) - The_TexanExplorerWhat year is your sightseer?
- blknomadExplorerI have a 2004 winneybago sightseer 30b on workhorse chassis 49050 mi.
- P3TCExplorerDouble post.
