We are looking at travelling from the Oroville Border to Albany. We want to stop in Woodland Washington and would like to try highway 12 (want to avoid Seatle) How is highway 12 for 40 foot class A's and a toad. Any other comments on alternate drive

It's fine. If you want to check specific areas, google maps is a valuable tool.

We traveled it many times with a 32' plus load and our buddy has biggest Montana 5h wheel with Ford 350. Nary a problem!

I have been wondering about that one, anything to avoid Seattle.

We just came across from Yakima to the west side three days ago. Construction and one way traffic in two washout areas but no big problem. 18 wheelers use that route on a regular basis too. You should have no problem.If snack or meal timing is right, stop at Spiffey's, on the left just before the US 12/I-5 interchange, for a meal and a piece of pie!
